McDonalds Cross Promotion Platform






Challenge

McDonaldsTurkey needed a sophisticated method to handle brands cross promotion offerings as well as loyalty program. Collaborated with Turkcell, the leading Turkish mobile operator, to provide McDonald’s discounts for Turkcell subscribers. Subscribers who redeem their phone number and “gnctrkcll” club code at any McDonald’s store received their discount coupon directly, benefiting from McDonald’s discounts and special offers.


Solution

PENNA Mobile Code Redemption devices are launched at McDonald’s stores across the country. Devices verifies the validity of the mobile phone number online against a central database and, based on marketing rules set, prints out unique paper vouchers redeemable at the McDonald’s cash register.
This year Turkcell Mobile Payment platform is also integrated with the system. Customers are able to buy foods and drinks from McDonalds, and instead of paying with cash or credit cards, premium charge is applied to their phone bill.


gnctrkcll “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” Movie Ticket Promotion




Challenge

“gnctrkcll” is the youth club of Turkey’s leading GSM operator Turkcell. The company required a solution that would immediately, reliably and cost-effectively enable their customer relationship management teams to efficiently reward their subscribers. They wanted a full soluiton to reward club members at movie theatres across the country including, redemption devices to issue membership codes, online realtime reporting, additional periodic offers at the theatres and mobile tickets for special screanings for “gnctrkcll” club members.


Solution

The solution was PENNA Mobile Coupon and Mobile Ticketing Solution. Special Mobile Code Redemption devices are placed at theatres. When club members enter the movie theater, they redeemed their “gnctrkcll” code and received their free ticket immediately. Issuing more than 2 million transactions, PENNA Mobile Coupon and Ticketing Solution is prefered by “gnctrkcll” for 4 consecutive years.


Carrefour – Ariel Professional Mobile Coupon Campaign




Challenge

Ariel was launching its professional series in Turkey and wanted to create awareness of the product as well as convince consumers to try the new products. The campaign is triggered with IVR. Consumers received a call from Ariel and heard information about the new product. After the call they are informed to receive a mobile discount coupon which can be used at Carrefour stores around the country.


Solution

PENNA designed and developed the Mobile Coupon for Ariel. Individual mobile coupons are created and delivered to consumers. Mobile redemption devices with integrated barcode readers are placed at Carrefour store across the country. When consumers enter the store, they redeemed their mobile coupon at their phone and received a special discount at the cashier.


TURKCELL Kuruçeşme Arena Mobile Tickets





Challenge

Turkcell was willing to sell discounted tickets to its segmented subscribers for special events and screenings at Kuruçeşme Arena. When they contacted PENNA, an end-to-end mobile ticketing solution is built including campaign notifications, ticketing through mobile payment, ticket delivery and control at the entrance.


Solution

At first, special announcements and campaign notification is sent to segmented Turkcell subscribers about the event and discounted price for them. Subscriber willing to buy the ticket, sent SMS to the short code. After the ticket price is charged to the phone bill by PENNA Mobile Payment system, the customer received a 2 D barcoded ticket with the information of the event. PENNA mobile redemption devices handled the redemption and control of the tickets at the event entrance.
