Before Going To The Store

  • Use their mobile phone to easily add items to their shopping list by scanning barcodes on products (Please see Barcode Reading with Mobile Phone)
    • Get additional information that can shape their shopping trip (such as recipes and recommendations)
  • Get information about special offers and receive relevant coupons and promotions before going into the store. (Please see Mobile Coupon and Voucher Solutions )
    • Keywords can be sent via SMS messages using a short code,
    • Consumers can subscribe to coupon services using a coupon application or via a mobile website,
    • Coupons codes can be stored as SMS messages for later display or in a coupon application or on the mobile web.
    • Connect coupons to shopping lists and loyalty programs.



At The Store



Redeem coupons and promotions (Please see Mobile Code Redemption)
  • Coupons are typically redeemed at the checkout where two options exist.
    • Barcodes can be displayed on the screen of the phone and captured using the Mobile Code Redemption Devices.
    • Devices can be placed at the cashier or designed as a standalone multimedia kiosk and used as a self service redemption point.
    • The numeric code can be entered at the check out.


Pay with mobile (Please see Mobile Payment)
  • System combines discount promotions with payment.
  • Consumer sends payment request via Mobile Redemtion Device, and a premium charge is applied to his phone bill.
  • The merchant involved is informed of the payment success and can then release the paid for goods.
  • Consumers would get a special code or number on their phone upon completion of shopping. This could be used to activate traditional self checkout payment options, or could be provided to a clerk to access the account at the register.

  • Rewards consumers directly at the point-of-sale.
